We specialize in the sales and professional installation of marine EVA foam decking, power washing services for boats, RVs, decks, driveways, and patios, custom wood and plastic fabrication, repairs and restorations (including pontoon boat floors), and marine electronics upgrades.
By engaging our services, whether through our website (www.CoastalBoatWorks.com ), phone, email, social media, or in-person consultation, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. - Service Area
We primarily serve clients located along the East Coast of the United States, including but not limited to:
New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
We may also service areas from southern coastal Maine to southern coastal South Carolina, subject to scheduling, travel fees, and crew availability. Travel beyond 50 miles from Lakewood, NJ may incur additional charges.
- Scope of Services
Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Sales and professional installation of marine-grade EVA foam decking (including Topdek and other premium brands)
- Power washing for boats, RVs, decks, patios, and driveways
- Custom wood and plastic fabrication for marine and outdoor applications
- Repairs and full restorations of boats, pontoons, decks, and outdoor structures
- Marine electronics installation and upgrades, including GPS, fish finders, stereos, and lighting systems
All services are performed by skilled technicians. Final scope, materials, and pricing will be confirmed in writing (via email or service agreement) prior to commencement of work.
- Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate measurements, photos, or access to the vessel or property as requested
- Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and accessible for our crew
- Remove personal belongings or fragile items from the work zone unless otherwise agreed
- Notify us of any structural, electrical, or material concerns prior to service
- Obtain any necessary permits or HOA approvals for outdoor or structural work
- Be present or provide authorized access during scheduled service times
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in rescheduling fees or additional charges.
- Quotes, Pricing & Payment
- All pricing is provided as an estimate only and may change due to unforeseen conditions, material upgrades, or scope adjustments.
- A written or emailed quote must be approved by the client before work begins.
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards (subject to processing fees).
- For projects over $1,000, a deposit of 50% may be required to secure materials and scheduling.
- Late payments incur a fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled service may incur a $100 cancellation fee.
- Materials & Product Warranties
- We use only marine-grade, UV-resistant, and industry-approved materials, including Topdek foam, adhesives, sealants, and electronic components.
- Manufacturer warranties (if any) are passed through to the client. Coastal Boat Works does not manufacture materials and is not responsible for manufacturer defects.
- We warrant our labor and installation for a period of 90 days from the date of completion. This covers workmanship only, not damage caused by misuse, weather, accidents, or improper maintenance.
- Limitation of Liability
- Coastal Boat Works is not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or structural issues not caused by our work
- Damage caused by client negligence, third parties, or acts of nature
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of use, revenue, or enjoyment)
- Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
- The client assumes all risk for use of the vessel or property after service completion.
- Scheduling, Delays & Force Majeure
- Scheduling is subject to availability, weather, material lead times, and crew capacity.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by:
- Inclement weather or unsafe working conditions
- Supply chain shortages or manufacturer delays
- Client unavailability or failure to prepare the site
- Acts of God, pandemics, or government restrictions (“Force Majeure”)
In such cases, we will reschedule at the earliest mutually convenient time.
- Cancellations & Refunds
- Clients may cancel scheduled services with at least 48 hours’ notice without penalty.
- Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a $100 rescheduling fee.
- Deposits are non-refundable if materials have been ordered or work has commenced.
- No refunds will be issued for services already rendered or materials already purchased.
- Intellectual Property
All content on www.CoastalBoatWorks.com, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Coastal Boat Works and protected by copyright. Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
- Privacy Policy
By engaging our services, you consent to our collection and use of contact information for service delivery, invoicing, and follow-up communication. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. For full details, see our separate Privacy Policy.
- Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Ocean County, New Jersey, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to a jury trial or class action.
- Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
- Amendments
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on www.CoastalBoatWorks.com with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Coastal Boat Works and supersede all prior discussions, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
